Death Certificates
Funeral Director's Service will file death certificates on our clients' cases if they desire.
In the State of Indiana the death certificate is a state form that is filed in the county of death.
Each county health department sets their own fees for cost of certified copies.
Corrections
Most departments will not replace incorrect copies if a correction is required. To correct a mistake,
a new certificate must be submitted that has been resigned by the same doctor or coroner that signed the original.
To eliminate the need for correction, a complete, accurate certificate should be provided to us. A fax or email,
or mailing an original to us is preferable.
